Cv Research

This video by Monster is a really helpful clip of how to successfully construct a CV, it is a very personal document so there really are no rules however it does suggest things that employers may prefer to see and that show your employability in order to improve your chances of getting a position. The video reference is: Monster UK & Ireland (2010) How to write a good CV. Available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYVwhLChAG8 (Accessed: 20 February 2016).

The slideshow above shows the cv research I did on interesting and eye catching cv’s, I mainly gathered from the research and information that I should keep the cv clear and clearly sectioned so that an employer can skip straight to a section if it is important to them. It also must represent your brand and your company so selective colours should be used perhaps linking to other promotional material also. This way you have one brand theme and each bit of promotional material ties in with the rest and is overall just more appealing and clearly organised. Some of the above cv’s are quite quirky and do include slang but I do think this purely depends on the job you are applying for as it may look individual but you run the risk of not appearing professional and sensible too.
