Trichotillomania Campaign (Unedited)
A photographer I have worked with before a few times approached me about creating some hair work for her still life project about trichotillomania and the mental effects it has. I was instantly interested since I suffered with it during secondary school. This is one of the things I made for the shoot and it is a brain made out of hair. This is an unedited version so there are a few gaps in the hair and loose strands but that was bound to happen on the commute. It was great to work on something that I had creative freedom with and something that was based solely around hair. She did not know anything about how I could create what she was asking for so I began brainstorming, I bought around four large donut hair rings and began cutting and sewing until I had created a base shape for my brain. I then plaited what felt like hundreds of plaits secured with tight black elastic bands, I then carefully placed the plaits in a wiggly motion in random areas of the brain to create the illusion similar to a brain structure. The base of the brain needed to be a slightly different texture to the main part of the brain so this was wrapped and sewn into place. It was something different to work on and I enjoyed the creative side a lot.

‘Stephanie’ was the first shoot I worked on with a photographer called Marton, it was shot at Sunbeam Studios in London and was a great all round experience. Since this first shoot Marton and I have worked together on another two shoots and he is photographing my major project. He is a fantastic photographer and there is always a fantastic team. This was the first shoot I ever had published and it was published around two weeks ago. Very exciting and it was such a professional learning experience at the same time working in such a vast studio and large space. The shoot was published by RANK Magazine and can be found at: http://www.rankfashionmagazine.com/webitorials/3131057-stephanie.
'Rasa' Published by 7Hues Magazine

‘Rasa’ was the second shoot working with Marton again at Sunbeam Studios London and this shoot got published by 7Hues Magazine the same week as the Stephanie shoot. Great success all round for the team. I loved this shoot and I felt so much more comfortable having worked on a shoot with Marton before, he encouraged everyone’s opinions on the looks and we were encouraged to really get involved which was great. We shot a lot of looks in a short space of time and it was purely down to being in an efficient and organised team. The shoot was published by 7Hues Magazine and can be found at: http://7huesmag.com/fashiononline/rasa/.
