Professional Make-Up Project
Final Designs
For the cyborg look I have incorporated the use of a fashion inspired futuristic hairstyle that I will cut into shape on the day of assessment.
- I have changed the style of the hair to flatter my models face since the haircut on the previous design was quite short and wide, my models face is quite round anyway so I have been careful to make sure the haircut does not make her face appear rounder. By lengthening the hair slightly it gives the appearance of a longer face.
- I have changed the lip colour as the pink did not tie in with the rest of the makeup. I have stuck to monochrome and I will line the lips with a black kryolan pencil and fill them in with silver kryolan greasepaint.
- The eyeliner will remain the same with the messy liner inspired by mac and fendi in their 2015 run way shows.
- The brows instead of being filled in with eyeshadow will be pencilled with a black kohl to create a really defined angular shape, they will then be filled in at the centre with a small amount of black makeup international eyeshadow to create a faded look shown in the design.
- I have added freckles to this make-up look as it can look really effective on chinese and asian models and has been popular this year in various fashion shoots.
- The prosthetic design has changed but only the shapes, I still intend to create the neck ad arm pieces. I was not able to find a suitable costume including shoulder pieces however I have sourced a leather black futuristic dress for the shoot.
-
I am sticking to antelope horns and since doing research and having various tutorials these horns will be made from fast cast resin and filled with expandable foam, the reason for this is so that they are light and durable because the size is quite large.
-
I have decided to keep the same model for all three looks but I have kept certain elements of the previous design such as the black strip across the eyes. Instead of creating this with black eyeshadow I have decided to use black kryolan greasepaint applied lightly to get a deep enough coverage with only a light application.
-
The lips will be a mixture of LC058 and LC059 from the kryolan lip palette. I have decided to use this red colour because it is one of the main make-up trends for 2015.
-
The hair will be scraped back with lots of hairspray to hold in place into a long straight ponytail. I was considering making a hairpiece for this instead of buying one however the horns are going to be very time consuming since I have never done the process before and I want to focus on them as much as I can and time is not of the essense.
-
The costume will consist of black shorts and crop top with the main focus being on a large feather neck piece.
-
I have decided to go for a simple and natural look for the nature shoot simply because I wanted to create a look where the model looks comfortable and natural in the scenery,
-
I am going to use flower flat piece prosthetics applied down the neck painted with pastel colours. I am most likely going to pre paint these so that I can gain experience pre colouring pieces with silicone paints.
-
The makeup will be simple with the vogue make-up trend of fresh face at the forefront of my idea. I will use NYX dewy finish make up setting spray along with the pink liquid illuminator to bring out areas of the face with highlight.
-
The brows will be filled in with the brown eyeshadow from the make-up international palette row 10, 4 down to define the shape subtly.
-
The lips will be lightly covered wuth LC002 from the kryolan lip palette with a small amount of NYX liquid illuminator in pink pearl over the top to add an element of highlight and sheen.
