Make-Up Exploration

Bollywood Make-Up
The lips were defined with kryolan red lipliner and lipstick in the shade LC057. Small gems were applied with eyelash glue onto the forehead to create a bindi shape. The brows are defined into a rounded shape with brown eyeshadow.
I used Mac Studio Fix Foundation to create the base colour in shade NW25. I applied the peach based blusher from the Makeup International blush palette. The eyes were focused around a shimmery gold eyeshadow in the shade champagne. Winged eyelineris applied from the bottom lash line to create a triangle shape. Getting the model to focus her eyes in certain directions allows the eyeliner to be applied in a quick sweep accurately.
The three pictures shown above are of my first attempt at bollywood makeup, Knowing I had head jewellery and bollywood clothes at home I decided to create another bolywood make-up.
A thick winged eyeliner was created with MUA gel eyeliner applied with a small brush. A pair of red cherry eyelashes in the shape #DW were attached along the natural lash line with kyrolan duo eyelash glue.
For the white shimmer colour I applied Mac shimmer pigment onto the area surrounding the tear duct at the very corner of the eyes and onto the middle of the eyelid. I also applied the same highlight down the nose, on the cupids bow and on the cheekbones. The purple shadow was shade 8 across 7 down in the crown eyeshadow palette. A small amount of black eyeshadow was applied to the outer corners to add depth to the purple.
I started by applying a base of Mac Studio Fix foundation, set with kryolan translucent powder. Shadow was applied with a contour shadow down the nose and under the cheekbones. I also applied a light pink blusher from the Makeup International blusher palette. The picture above shows the shadow applied to the eyes. I decided to create a bold purple eye colour to enhance the brown eyes.
Although I have used a purple eyeshadow colour instead of neautral tones the vibrancy of the purple is not too intense. I am satisfied with the outcome of the make-up look and the picture below shows how the costume can add to the overall impact of a look. Head jewelery and vibrant colourful clothing is common in bollywood.
The picture above shows the eye makeup in more detail with the eye open. The eyebrows were shaped with kryolan brown eyebrow pencil followed by a brown eyeshadow on the inner corners in the shade 10 across 4 down in the crown brush eyeshadow palette.
A traditional bollywood red lip was recreated with a kryolan lip liner and a kryolan lipstick in the shade L0C57. The lips were overdrawn to create a larger top lip and cupids bow.
