The 39 Birds of Paradise

There were a few birds that were definitely a possibility however there was one bird in particular that stood out and the reason for it was the vibrant mix of colours on its neck with the velvety black body. I instantly had some inspiration when I saw this bird once I began to research and realised the colours were irridescent and changed in the light I straight away wanted to figure out a way I could transfer these qualities through makeup.
Having decided that I wanted to focus on birds instead of reptiles and since I wanted to focus on colour I decided to look at the many birds of paradise in order to pick one to focus my designs around.
