Selling a product or a brand simple layout styling and makeup product placement.
Editorial-
Magazine spreads, runway avant garde, tailored to a brand and desired look.
Advertising- clean simple makeup the brand shows the focus of the picture and know your markets. If its toothpaste focus is teeth, mascara focus is eyelashes.
Product placement, focus feature to suit promotion enhance natural features, natural lighting and setting.
Commercial/ beauty-
More of a focus and bolder looks, still relatable to the consumer, friendly make-up.
Flawless and polished, enhancing the models face but has to be consumer friendly.
Editorial-
Grand overall presentation, its obvious what the image is representing, its about the name against the product more so than the product.
Sexy and edgy
Celebrity endorsed.
High Fashion Makeup
Creative makeup, aesthetically pleasing, portfolio appropriate, translates across contexts.

J crew vs prada. Simple makeup for J crew and different younger target audience for prada.

Photographers-
Mario testino – he captures private moments, intimate portraits of celebrities. He works with black and white often so this needs to be appropriate.
Tim Walker- extravagant staging romantic motifs, he has a set style and incorporates styling costume etc.
Look into photographer styles. – Justify selection.
