Project Title:

 

For specialist practice I will focus on creating a makeup and hair design inspired by animal characteristics and features for fashion editorial purposes, with the contextual research inspiring designs that will later inform my final outcome and specific context. The work will be presented in a photographic format used for advertisement within the fashion industry. I intend to collaborate with a model, photographer and fashion stylist to construct a highly professional portfolio image. Developed technical research will allow me to showcase my practical work to a high standard visibly advanced from Level 5.

 

LO1:

 

I will demonstrate an appropriate body of work by attending regular tutorials to clarify my work intentions whilst ensuring I achieve the minimum twenty credits for this project. Through creating a weekly work plan including a list of tasks I hope to achieve each day whilst incorporating catch up days I will prevent myself from falling behind and failing to achieve what I intend to create. Resources that will aid my time and work management include open access, extended studio time and late library finishes which I expect to benefit from as much as possible.

 

LO2:

 

Following the level of work created in level five I intend to expand and refine my knowledge to produce portfolio images that reflect my skill progression. Through frequent make up tests and thorough technical research the creative applications will improve, ensuring that the final outcome is to a high professional standard.

 

LO3:

 

Throughout the project I will be forced to make multiple decisions influencing my work, at a professional level through reliable research any difficulties and complications will be resolved independently with minimal help from tutoring staff though evaluating my work constantly. This is to demonstrate the ability to problem solve in industry and realise creative design plans effectively and sufficiently based on budgets, time scales and potential obstacles.

 

LO4:

 

Through effective time management I will produce a website log of all research ultimately influencing my final decisions, final design and final outcome. My website will be a strong body of work supporting the practical makeup and hair that I create. All evaluations will be documented on the website informing each critical choice made. The work will be presented to a high academic standard that is fit for purpose and created in the correct context.
